Horn Island Airport engages Contego Consulting

Horn Island Airport today engaged the services of Contego Consulting to develop the Transport Security Program, review the Security Risk Assessment and to assist in applying to be the Screening Authority.  Horn Island Airport will be a fully screened Category 3 airport as of 1 July 2012 and will be working in conjunction with Todd Harland from Contego Consulting due to his wealth of aviation security experience.

Horn Island Airport in the Torres Strait is the critical transport hub connecting mainland Australia to the 38 inhabited islands of the Torres Strait, including the administrative centre of Thursday Island.  QantasLink operate 2 services daily from the airport and there are several other aircraft operators providing regular services (Barrier Aviation, West Wing, Cape Air, Australian Helicopters).
